What is Mabon? Mabon is a pagan festival celebrated as one of the eight Sabbats in the Wheel of the Year, particularly observed in modern Wicca and other pagan traditions. It marks the Autumn Equinox, usually occurring around September 21st-24th in the Northern Hemisphere. This is a time when day and night are of equal length, symbolizing balance. Mabon is often seen as a time of thanksgiving, harvest, and reflection, where people give thanks for the fruits of the earth and prepare for the coming winter.

I made this little beeswax candle as an ode to that time of year. It is scented with the delicious aroma of orange spice and topped with dried orange, star anise, and cinnamon in an 8oz jar.
